Neptune Chowder

Ingredients

1 lb Fish 3/4 inch pieces frozen white fish I use cod
2 cups Onions, thinly sliced
1 cup Celery, chopped
2 T Butter
2 cups Water
2 cups Potatoes, diced
1 cup Carrots, chopped
1 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
2 cups Milk
8 oz American cheese cubes (I use velveeta) you can use cheddar
Parsley or Chives

Directions

  1. In a 3 quart pan sauté onions and celery in butter until tender. Cut fish while frozen it holds together better. Add water, potatoes, carrots, frozen fish cubes, salt and pepper bring to a full boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes longer. Stir in milk and cheese until cheese is melted. DO NOT BOIL! Garnish with parsley or chives.
