Chicken Casserole 2

Ingredients

1 cup onion chopped
1 cup celery chopped
1/2 cup sour cream
1 can water chestnuts drained
1/4 tsp pepper
salt to taste
1 can cream mushroom soup
1 can cream chicken soup
1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
1 tube ritz crackers
1 stick butter divided in half
3 cups shredded cooked chicken. I use a rotisserie chicken

Directions

  1. Saute onion and celery in 1/2 stick butter
  2. Mix together everything except the remaining 1/2 stick butter and the crackers. place in casserole dish
  3. Mix 1/2 stick butter with crushed ritz crackers
  4. Sprinkle cheese on top of casserole then top with cracker mixture.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until hot and bubbly
