Texas Sheet Cake

Ingredients

1 cup water
1 cup Butter
4 Tbsp cocoa
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
FROSTING Pour over warm cake
1/2 cup butter
4 Tbsp cocoa
6 Tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
16 oz powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Bring butter, water, and cocoa to a boil.
  3. Let cool. When cool, add flour, sugar, and salt; mix well.
  4. Add sour cream, baking soda, vanilla, and eggs.
  5. Mix well. Pour into a greased 12x18-inch cookie pan.
  6. Bake 15-20 minutes.
  7. ***Frosting***
  8. Bring butter, cocoa, and milk to a boil. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and powdered sugar, and pour over warm cake.
