Cheyenne's Liege Waffles

Ingredients

3/4 cup milk
2 tsp yeast
2 TBSP cane sugar
2 eggs
12 TBSP (1 1/2 sticks) butter, melted
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup belgian pearl sugar

Directions

  1. Heat milk in microwave to 100-110 degrees
  2. Add yeast and sugar to milk and let sit until yeast foams
  3. Add eggs and melted butter and whisk together
  4. Place in a warm location and cover for 30 minutes or until dough has doubled in size
  5. Add 3/4 cups pearl sugar and knead until mixed
  6. Separate unto 2 inch balls and add 3-4 pieces of pearl sugar to each ball
  7. Cook in a waffle iron until golden brown
