Strawberry Trifle

Ingredients

16 oz cream cheese, softened
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
12 oz Cool Whip
1tsp vanilla
1 angel food cake
3 quarts strawberries
1/4 cup sugar

Directions

  1. Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy.
  2. Add Cool Whip and vanilla.
  3. Cut angel food cake into small squares. Slice all but 3 or 4 strawberries.
  4. Gently mix sliced berries and sugar.
  5. Let sit for 15 minutes.
  6. Cover the bottom of a trifle dish with a layer of the cake squares.
  7. Follow with a layer of the cream cheese mixture, then a layer of strawberries.
  8. Alternate, ending with the cream cheese mixture.
  9. Garnish with the reserved whole strawberries. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
