Quiche

Ingredients

5 large eggs
1 1/4 cups heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/3 cup green onions, chopped
2 TBSP parsley, chopped
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
1/2 lb ground sausage, cooked (approximate)
3/4 cup fresh mushrooms, chopped (approximate)
3/4 cup fresh spinach, cleaned and chopped (approximate)
9" pie crust, frozen

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Mix eggs well with a fork in a mixing bowl
  3. Add heavy cream, salt, pepper; Mix well
  4. Add shredded cheese and mix well
  5. Place pie crust on a cookie sheet
  6. Pour egg mixture into pie crust
  7. Add other ingredients as desired (green onions, mushrooms, sausage, spinach, ham, etc)
  8. Bake 45-55 minutes, until center is barely set (Tent the crust edges with foil or pie shield to prevent excess browning during the last 15 minutes of baking)
  9. Allow pie to rest for 10-15 minutes before cutting and serving
