Chocolate Chip Cookies (Jumbo)

Ingredients

2 1/4 cups flour
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
3/4 cup brown sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Line two sheet trays with parchment paper. Set aside
  3. In a large bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Stir and set aside.
  4. In an mixing bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until fully combined.
  5. Add egg and vanilla and mix well.
  6. Stir in flour mixture until no dry pockets remain.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips.
  8. Divide dough into 1/4 cup portions using a measuring cup. Roll into balls until smooth.
  9. Place six on each sheet tray.
  10. Bake one tray at a time for 17-18 minutes.
  11. Remove from oven and let them cool on the sheet tray for 5-10 minutes.
  12. NOTE: 1/4 cup portions make 12 cookies. 1/2 cup portions make 6 cookies.
