Russian Tea Cakes
Ingredients
1 cup salted real butter
1/2 cup powder sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 jar strawberry jam or preserves
Directions
Preheat oven to 325
In a large bowl mix butter and sugar, using an electric mixer
Add vanilla extract
Blend in flour and salt, mixing until thoroughly combined.
Roll tablespoons of dough into balls about 1 in. diameter.
Place dough balls on lightly greased cookie sheet about 1 in. apart
Press down center of each ball with a spoon, forming a depression
Fill each with a teaspoon of preserves.
Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
